well it made my top 10 but it seems that eastern european ballads are the winners these days. I don't think that western countries have a chnce to win anymore, not with so many eastern countries involved. I do think however that the rules shoul be changed so that ONLY the countries taking part in the final should be able to vote in the final, as they've made that the rule in the semi finals.
Anyway, congratulations to Dima Bilan - it is a good song, but I feel sorry for Charlotte Perrelli and Euroband cos they ha much better songs, just the votes didn't come in for them enough.
The UK were nver gonna do well with the song we sent, but it deserved more than joint last place - the voting was just random and songs from Spain, Latvia and Bosnia did so well when they were seriously crap songs!

But that's not true. :) They did a test where they removed all the east votes from 2007, and the result still turned out the same so I think that the talk about east vs. west is mainly jealousy. :)
We have to send songs that are more European if we want to win. :)
it's my opinion and i'm entitled to think what I think and many people agree with it too and it has nothing to do with jealousy at all - as you know I didn't even like the UK song, even though he gave a good performance - the best song of the night did not win - fact. Just because someone likes a particular artist doesn't mean it's necesarily the best song.
And the whole idea of sending different songs is that they don't all sound the same - what do you mean by "We have to send songs that are more European if we want to win."? Each region has thier own sound, so all songs are European.
